"Let's move on by saying that she is an excellent jazz singer. Her band, the Naketina Roma Icons Different Bop Session was founded in Budapest in 2005. The band plays world jazz music in ecclectic styles, a mix of Hungarian, Roma, Flamenco, Klezmer and Indian folk music, with free jazz improvisation overrides. It's music with many free radicals, sometimes immensely sad, sometimes full of joy and sometimes it even seems as if her voice carries the chants of some distant Indian ancestress. When it comes to her singing it is no surprise, since Erika's father, József Lakatos is a talented pianist. More people knew him in Germany and Europe than in Hungary. Looking back, there are several generations of musicians in the family, so she had fair few people to inherit talent from..." - Károly Kincses
